The Azad Bhavan of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh on dated 16th January 2010 and is located in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies started functioning from the Salt Lake and office / research fellow shifted to the new premises in the month of February 2010. The Azad Bhavan has a Seminar room, Conference Hall, Guest House, a Library containing more than 10,000 books, a Research Fellows Work Station, and other facilities for Visiting Scholars and young researchers.
